About the Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Food Safety & Quality Auditor to join our Americas Food Safety and Quality Audit team based in our Chicago office.

As the Food Safety & Quality Auditor you will interact across many organizational functions such as Operations, Supply Chain, Food Safety and Quality, Regulatory and R&D functions. Food Safety & Quality Auditors are also involved in supporting the evaluation of the newly acquired companies by the Group.

About the Function: The Food Safety & Quality Audit team is responsible for conducting audits across the Ferrero value chain which include Ferrero Group plants, Co-manufacturers, Co-packers, Hazelnut processing units, Business Units and Supply Chain warehouses.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute audits against the Ferrero Food Safety and Quality Audit requirements.
• Identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement to enable effective corrective action through the organization.
• Prepare and release audit reports based on facts observed during the on-site visit.
• Lead or participate in projects within the Quality Audit organization to drive organizational development and participate in joint projects with other functions across Ferrero Group.

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, micro-biology, or related technical field required
• 4-8 years of experience working in a food manufacturing plant environment in an operational Quality & Food Safety role
• Fluent in English, any additional language is a plus.
• Experience working in a chocolate/biscuit/nuts/ice-cream/dairy manufacturing environment highly desired
• Lead auditor certifications desired (e.g., ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP and any GFSI benchmark standards).

Compensation Data

The base salary range for this position is $112,993 - $150,658 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time. As a Mine Permitting & Environmental Compliance Associate, you play a crucial role in supporting our mining business unit by aiding in permitting and environmental compliance initiatives. You will collaborate with site personnel and third-party contractors to ensure environmental stewardship at both active and future mine sites. Your contributions will be vital in mine permitting efforts (NEPA), environmental sampling compliance, fieldwork, data validation, and regulatory reporting, ensuring that our operations are sustainable and aligned with environmental standards.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in baseline characterization of environmental resources at future mine sites, including surface water, groundwater, air, soil, vegetation, wetlands, and wildlife;
• Support the development of sustainable mine and reclamation plans that minimize environmental impacts while ensuring safe and efficient operations;
• Aid in geochemical characterization of lithological units to evaluate potential environmental leachability;
• Contribute to predictive impact models to assess potential environmental impacts from proposed ore extraction strategies;
• Assist in obtaining necessary regulatory approvals and permits, including NEPA compliance and permits for wetlands, air, and water quality;
• Help develop mitigation strategies for wildlife and habitat impacts;
• Oversee third-party contractors to ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of environmental fieldwork and sampling;
• Participate in field inspections related to environmental compliance, including SWPPP and dust management;
• Support the environmental sampling program by maintaining supplies and equipment;
• Review and submit regulatory documentation, including discharge monitoring reports and annual MSGP reports to the EPA;
• Maintain compliance with the Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) to ensure reliable data collection;
• Ensure contractor adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines on-site;
• Help coordinate annual Stormwater Training for mining employees and contractors;
• Be part of the selection of contractors for laboratory analysis and environmental fieldwork;
• Contribute to the annual sampling budget, ensuring alignment with mine plans and sample forecasting;
• Ensure compliance of mine office wells with Public Water Systems sampling requirements;
• Assist in navigating regulatory processes related to NEPA and environmental compliance;

WHO YOU ARE:

PROPÓSITO E IMPACTO DEL TRABAJO

El/La Inspector/a de Calidad proporcionará apoyo técnico de garantía de calidad e inocuidad de los alimentos mediante pruebas y auditoría de documentación de procesos, recopilación y análisis de datos, y apoyo a la transferencia de conocimientos.

RESPONSABILIDADES CLAVE

• Llevar a cabo inspecciones del ciclo de vida del producto, incluidas materias primas, productos en proceso y productos finales, para identificar tendencias en defectos o errores, apoyando ensayos y experimentos más complejos.
• Contribuir al análisis de datos e identificar tendencias en defectos o errores, informar al personal de alto nivel de manera oportuna.
• Ayudar a monitorear los puntos críticos de control de calidad en la producción.
• Manejar problemas administrativos, técnicos o de atención al cliente moderadamente complejos bajo supervisión general, al tiempo que aumenta los problemas más complejos para el personal adecuado.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Guatemala City for a Civil Engineer. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for evaluating civil engineering projects related to infrastructure, potable water plants, wastewater plants, overall construction projects, and others. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating design plans, collaborating with other civil engineers, conducting site assessments, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Skills in Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering
• Experience working as Civil Engineers and in Planning (desired)
• Knowledge in Project Management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on-site and in collaborative environments
