General Summary:
The Editor position is responsible for supporting the content ops operation. This includes copying, editing, and compilation of the film material (films and series and short formats) according to SPT standards to be broadcasted, distributed on multiple platforms, and shared with multiple departments. Also includes FAST channel scheduling.
Responsibilities
Perform technical evaluations and the copying of film material (films, series and/or short formats) for different platforms.
Edit movies and/or series to meet censorship requirements and/or programming format (segments) of the channels.
Make copies for various departments (Promotions, Traffic, PR, Marketing, Sales, etc.).
Perform the preparation of material for automation.
Generate technical evaluation reports.
Match material in our MAM library and perform deliveries of the TX versions to the required platforms.
Validate the content that was ingested into the FAST channel playout.
Create FAST channel’s schedules in the FAST channel playout system.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong skills in video editing with expertise in editing tools like Adobe Premiere. (certification is a plus).
- Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Fluency in Spanish, and basic English skills required.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to follow procedures and accomplish deadlines.
- Ability to review content onscreen for long periods without losing concentration.
- Strong organized person.
- Ability to work on own initiative and proactively prevent problems from occurring.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Experience
Minimum 2-year proven experience editing content for linear and non-linear platforms.
Minimum 2-year experience in broadcast and VOD environments.
Education
Technical degree in media production, Media Technology, and/or equivalent experience
